My Baby is growing up

My first baby is growing up! Saturday was the junior/senior prom and Shane took his girlfriend Avery. Doesn't he look handsome!! Notice how much taller Shane is than me! By the way, I'm not pregnant, it's the shirt. I guess I should've tried it on first! Back to Shane--5 couples went together and rented a limo. They went to eat in Frankfort and then to Lexington for the dance. After the Prom, they went back to his friend Jordan's house for the rest of the evening/morning. It seems like everyone had a good time. All the couples looked BEAUTIFUL!! It really brings back memories. And let me tell you, for those of you that have girls only, you're lucky. I know girls can be expensive, but it's the
BOYS that pay for everything. Here's a run down:

Tux--$153

Limo--$120

Tickets--$70

Corsage--$26

Dinner--$40

Haircut--$12

If my calculations are correct, that's $421. That's not including gas to go get all these things. I know Avery's dress didn't cost that much. I get to do it all over again next year too. But it's okay, it's a once in a lifetime thing. I'm just glad I'm able to pay for those things and give Shane and Avery a wonderful evening. Avery's mom took alot of pictures and she's supposed to put them on a disk for me. I'll post a few more when I get that. I hope Shane remembers that he's never to old to be my baby and he's never allowed to move away! I love him to pieces!

camera died

I was outside taking pictures of the guys planting all my trees and them struggling with the big magnolia and my camera dies. I thought it was the batteries so I changed batteries, nothing. I don't know what's wrong with it. I'm really upset because I actually had pictures of Shane and Isabella together if you can believe it. I really wanted to post those. He was actually home for a change. I'll see what I can do with my other camera. It's just not as good.

Pictures as promised!

It was a beautiful day today so after Isabella got up from her nap we went outside. I started out with sunglasses but she kept taking them off so I tried a hat.

OK, I've debated about this for a while. Bangs or no bangs. I wanted her hair to be all one length but keeping her bangs out of her eyes was hard to do. So I decided to do bangs for a little while. I think she looks much cuter with them. I don't like it to much in this picture si put some of it in a ponytail in the rest of the pictures. I'm going to try to keep it in a clip or 2 ponytails for a while.

The grass still amazes her.

Allen and Hunter are digging me a bunch of holes to plant trees. We always said we were going to buy Isabella a tree when she got here. I wanted a Magnolia tree for her. So we bought a HUGE tree at Landscape Alternatives. I think it was the biggest tree on the lot. We also bought a magnolia bush and 4 dogwood trees--2 pink and 2 white. Those will alternate down our driveway. They are supposed to be delivered tomorrow morning so I'll post pictures of Isabella next to her own tree tomorrow.

She has two teeth coming through on the bottom so she's been a little cranky lately. I'm hoping this lets her chew better. When she eats "big people" food she will chew it up and then spit it out. We have no idea why. She could easily swallow it but she'll chew some food then spit, chew some food then spit. Any ideas from anyone? That's about it for now. I'll try to post again tomorrow!

I need blog help

okay, as you can see, I had Nikki change Isabella's picture in the header. I also wanted a song to play as you look at the blog. My MOST FAVORITE song in the world about kids is "Thank God for Kids" by the Oak Ridge Boys. I asked Nikki to help and she said playlist.com didn't have it and she didn't know how to use anything else. They had the Kenney Chesney version which you are hearing right now so she put that one on there for me. Anyway, it's not as good as the other one. I use Limewire here to download songs but I don't think they have a code or whatever you need to put something on a blog. I've read SOOOO many directions on the blogger site and others and I still can't figure out how to get the song to the blog. On Webfetti, which is a pretty cool site, it's pretty easy to understand but it asks you for the URL of the song. WHERE the heck do you find that!? Can someone PLEASE explain that to me?! I went back to playlist.com and couldn't even figure out how to navigate around that very well. My playlist box is at the bottom of the page. What if I want to change the song or add to it? What do I do? My mission is to get the Oak Ridge Boys version on my blog. So if any of you guys know anyone that could help or if you know how to do it, please let me know. Thanks in advance! What's been going on this week

This is Alex's first time weed-eating. He was dying to learn and we need all the help we can get keeping this grass cut. He did GREAT! He's growing up so fast. He's already asked about driving the tractor--I don't think so!
My dogs chased this opossum up a tree and laid at the bottom for hours so the poor thing couldn't get down. I really hate these animals. I think they are SOOO ugly and nasty looking.


OK, I really can't get my brain to work when it comes to posting. I can't remember the order because it's all backwards. I hate that. So you'll have to look at the bottom picture to see how she got up on the second SHELF of my entertainment center. She does this all the time. She's still so tiny that she has no problem fitting. She just went to the doctor and the weighs 19.13 lbs.

Again, these are kinda out of order. She loves sitting on the end table and watching TV. I tell her to get down but she just looks at me and laughs. She never has fallen off so that's good.

Iforgot to take my camera to Alex's soccer games on Sat and Mon. I was just thinking about staying warm. The wind was sooooo cold. He has another game Sat so I'll try to post some pics of that next time.
